I am concerned about the practice of private schools requiring students to pay fees during summer vacation. Many students come from families that struggle financially, and parents, especially those without stable employment, find it challenging to meet these additional financial demands. Some parents, such as farmers with limited income, are left with difficult choices, trying to balance paying for summer vacation fees and meeting basic needs like food.
During the summer break, when schools are not actively teaching, it becomes particularly burdensome for families to allocate funds for these fees. The situation becomes more distressing when, upon returning to school, students face the threat of being removed if fees are not paid promptly.
It is my humble request to private school association to reconsider the imposition of summer vacation fees, considering the economic hardships faced by many families. This adjustment would alleviate the financial strain on students and contribute to a more inclusive and compassionate educational environment.
