The second caliph, Hazrat Umar Farooq, during his reign, used to get up at night and take care of the needs of the people, saying that if a dog died of thirst on the banks of the Euphrates, then Omar would asked about it on the Day of Resurrection. In addition, thirteen people have so far lost their lives due to severe shortage of water and drinking contaminated water in Pirkoh Dera Bugti. It is said that the state has the status of mother, can any mother tolerate her son dying of thirst, not at all. In relation, water is a basic need, and the basic needs are mentioned in UDHR 1945, on the other side it is mentioned in chapter I as fundamental Rights in the constitution of Pakistan 1973. And the constitution guarantees the fundamental rights of every citizen and the state too responsible to give the rights of every citizen. But it is very sad to state that in modern times other nations of the world are stepping on the moon and Mars but the people of Balochistan are dying of thirst. There is a humble request to the CM of Balochistan to take an immediate action on this issue.
