Our galaxy is so vast with alots of mysteries objects within it - are very difficult to find those and tackle their mysterious , but physicts and cosmologists are working day and night to find what is there in in our vast universe .
the center of our galaxy (Milky Way ) is a busy place with a lots of objects in it , but there also lay a giant black hole.
Mind you , A black hole is a cosmic body of extremely intense gravity from which nothing, not even light, can escape. A black hole can be formed by the death of a massive star. When such a star has exhausted the internal thermonuclear fuels in its core at the end of its life, the core becomes unstable and gravitationally collapses inward upon itself, and the star’s outer layers are blown away
However, Albert Einstein, first predicted the existence of black holes in 1916, with his general theory of relativity , but he himself also doubted about its existence and Later the English Cosmologist tired to explain the existence of Black hole and presented his theory :" The Hawking Radiation ."
For proofing this mysteries object to the world, the scientists planed a mission for in search of Black holes and to solve their mysteries. in the early 2019 astronomers took the image of the shadow of the event horizon of a supermassive black hole at the center of M87 ( a galaxy located 55 million light years away from us ).
Now it was the time for the astronomers to capture the picture of the black hole - present in the center of our galaxy , but it was not a easy task for them . The astronomers combined eighty telescopes in four continents to create a perfect image . In fact 2022 Noble prize was was shared to Andrea Ghez and Reinhard Genzel for observation that showed the
existence of supermassive black hole. This black hole is called Sagittarius A* , shortened to Sgr A* .
However these eighty telescopes received plane waves from this black hole in different times and angles .
Finally a lots of their hard works on 12 May, the EHT team finally released the first - ever image of the shadows of the supermassive black hole in the center of Milky Way.
